Education has taken a real battering since March 2020 and faith has come to the forefront in making schooling as ‘normal’ as possible for the children in our schools. Pupils have been encouraged to respect themselves and others, installing a desire for doing right and for helping others.
It’s been a great opportunity for people to find innovative ways to show their love for each other and for their neighbourhoods. Whether that’s standing on somebody’s doorstep to have a conversation, sending little gifts, or phoning up someone you know is on their own. This year, like last, we have learnt to adapt, be sensible and support one another through love and being kind.
As we approach Christmas we are encouraged to stop and reflect on the year that is about to end, and the year that is about to begin, and that can be an emotionally triggering experience for many. Remember there are those who could be experiencing difficult times during this time of the year – some may be away from their families, some may have lost loved ones, some may be experiencing financial difficulties. Each experience is very personal and individual, and God is there for everyone.
