Sunday School
Thank you in advance to our children and young people, who will take a fuller part in the Mass on Sunday.
They will read the readings and the intercessions, and take a lead in welcoming people to church that day.
Thank you to Susan, Collet and Ruth for continuing to take a lead with this important ministry, and for working with the children to prepare for this service.

Confessions before Christmas
It is a good discipline to avail ourselves of the Sacrament of Reconciliation, particularly before the great Feasts of Christmas and Easter.
Fr Philip will be available in Church to hear confessions at the following times:
Sat 18 December:
10am - 10.50am
Wed 22 December:
6.30pm - 7.20pm
Fri 24 December:
9.30am - 10.20am
If none of the times above is convenient, please contact Fr Philip to make an appointment.
Please also be in touch if you have any questions about the Sacrament and how best to prepare for it.

Something to listen to:
In the week closest to Christmas, at Evening Prayer, the Church prays the ancient 'O' Antiphons.
Here is a musical setting by a contemporary Roman Catholic composer of one of the Antiphons:
O Oriens (O Radiant Dawn)
O Radiant Dawn,
Splendour of eternal Light,
Sun of Justice:
come, shine on those who dwell in
darkness and the shadow of death.
Isaiah had prophesied,
The people who walked in darkness
have seen the great light upon those
who dwelt in the land of gloom a light has shone.
Amen.
