I can't believe that the end of 2021 is a few weeks away! The celebrations of our respective holidays are good ways to put aside the trials and challenges we faced over the past 11 months and look forward with hope and joy to the upcoming year. 1. Despite the availability of vaccines, reluctance on the part of many kept it around long enough for 2 variants to appear and continue to result in hospitalizations and deaths over the course of the year.
2. Reminding me that nature is both cruel and beautiful at the same time, I traveled to Hawai'i and did a glorious nighttime snorkel with very large manta rays.
3. "Doing his part to help the world," my 5-year old grandson took part in the Pfizer vaccine trials for children. It was very "pokey" according to him. We were all thrilled that he actually got the vaccine, not the placebo and now shows high levels of antibodies!

I love it when I get a request to custom design a necklace as a gift for someone. This delicate pastel rainbow design is for a very small person for Christmas.
