Story of HOPE

Sometimes at HOPE For All we come across unique family situations, and this month we’d like to share Ashtin’s story.

Her daughter Angelina has a best friend named Hayden. Due to unusual circumstances, Hayden came to live with the family, which also includes Ashtin’s son and grandmother, and Ashtin recently became the official guardian to Hayden. Now they are trying to make a proper place for her in their home.

Last week we delivered a new bed, dresser, and nightstand, as well as a desk, chair, and lamp for Hayden. Also included were bedding and towels, along with clothing for her and a vacuum for the household, plus toys for the children.

“God sent Hayden here for a reason,” Ashtin told us. May this family thrive together.

Chick-Fil-A is a wonderful supporter of the community, and they have offered to donate a percentage of all sales on the evening of Tuesday, Dec. 14th to HOPE! They did this for us last year, and it was a wonderful Christmas gift to our ministry. We hope that you can stop by that evening for an easy dinner between 5-8 p.m.

Welcome to Moses Ballard, our new Logistics Assistant! Moses is working in our warehouse and traveling the county doing pick-ups and deliveries in our HOPE truck. We are happy to have him aboard!

A BETHLEHEM PRAYER

Silent Night Holy Night

All is calm All is bright

Away in a manger

Wrapped in swaddling clothes

No place for a Baby to lay

No sound of marching bands

Very few visitors and little warmth

There are the Wise men and a few angels.

This prayer brings to mind all of our HOPE FAMILY!

We quietly go about our works of love. Just as the shepherds watch over their flock. Just as each order we fill is done with love. in honor of Him above and His forgotten children.

There are those who go about the warmth of clothes and blankets as they fill the order. There are the linens, shoes, and household items to make that House a Home. There are hearts filled with joy as the toys are added.

He is wrapped by the love, devotion, and faith of each of you. The angels sing in rejoice for His birth and each household that is touched.

As the Wise men came to pay Him homage, so too does our HOPE truck as it pulls in front of a home bringing with it the HOPE personnel delivering what must seem like gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

The worry about riches, wealth, power, and status are missing. There is no bed for Him to rest His Head. Rather there is each of you as a piece of straw for Him to rest on, wrapped in all your love.

The bright star and the angels' voices proclaim the Good News of Christ our Lord. Just as each of you do through your volunteering. Do it for the least of My brethren.

Amen Alleluia!!!! Joy to the World!!! Peace on Earth!!!! God Rest Ye His Army of HOPE
