The last Board meeting of BMDA in 2021, which took place in Vilnius (Lithuania) made several important decisions on leadership succession of the association.
As the Founding President Dr. Virginijus Kundrotas last summer expressed his decision to step out from the President’s position after 19 years of leadership to focus on his international consulting and academic activities (he is the Dean of Adizes Graduate School in USA and Managing Director of Adizes Institute in Lithuania), the Board elected the Dean of School of Economics and Business at Kaunas University of Technology Prof. Edita Gimzauskiene, as the new President of BMDA. She will take over the President’s position starting from the January 1st, 2022.
The Board also elected two Vice-presidents of BMDA- Iryna Tykhomyrova, President of MIM Kiev, Ukraine and Anto Liivat, Head of Bachelor’s studies at EBS University, Estonia.
The Board asked Dr. V. Kundrotas to become the Honorary President of BMDA advising President and the Board on BMDA strategy and further development.
The Board also decided that the upcoming 20th Annual BMDA Conference will take place on October 5-7, 2022 at Kaunas University of technology (Lithuania). The preliminary title of the Conference - From Digitalization to Value Creation and Sustainability: Implications for Business and Education.
BMDA president Dr. V. Kundrotas, who is also the member of International Scientific Committee for Eastern Europe, opened the second day of this World Convention. Dr. V. Kundrotas presented the keynote speech on the topic “How to Implement the Needed Change Together as a Team”.
