Winter Break
December 18- January 5

Greetings Soaring Heights Families,

What a wonderful week it's been at Soaring Heights! Our "Strength of Character" campaign kicked off last week and students have been working on how to be positive members of our community through demonstrating traits of honesty, integrity, and responsibility. Students will be participating in various service projects to give back and support the Erie community.

Girls basketball played their first game on Monday. We are excited to see their growth throughout the season.

Our Cyber Patriots teams have continued to do extremely well in competition with all three teams receiving high placements. The Soaring Heights VEX VCR/EDR teams competed last weekend at Westview Middle School. It was a great day with lots of learning opportunities. Congratulations to The Killer Bees on winning the Judge's Award! Soaring Heights will host a robotics tournament on Saturday, December 11 from 8 am - 4 pm. Please come support our teams!

Astronomy night was held on Saturday, December 4 and students were able to catch glimpses of Venus, Saturn, Jupiter, and The Pleiades.

Students showed perseverance and a growth mindset as they worked on I-Ready tests this week.  iReady testing gives us incredibly valuable information on where your student is academically.

Remember to send your student with warm clothes for the early mornings and recesses as the days of inclement weather increase. Also, labeling jackets, gloves, water bottles, etc. immensely helps when items are missing.

Thank you for your partnership in supporting our amazing students at Soaring Heights.  Please feel free to reach out with any questions.

Best wishes,

Cyrus Weinberger, Principal
Meghan Quirk, Assistant Principal
Krystal Trinkler, Dean of Students
Matt Romig, Dean of Students
GOOD LUCK TO OUR ROBOTICS TEAMS THIS WEEKEND!

Soaring Heights is hosting a Robotics tournament on Saturday.  Please come support our teams!

We will be bagging up Lost and Found at the week before winter break to be donated after the first of the year.  Please encourage your students to look in lost and found for any items they may be missing.
Congratulations to our 12 SVVSD Honor Choir and 6 Colorado All-State singers! These students have been selected from hundreds of other auditionees within the district and across the state. They will attend choral festivals and be a part of concerts in January and March 2022, respectively. What an honor we look forward to you representing Soaring Heights at these prestigious events!
