East Lansing Hannah Community Center to Celebrate 20th Anniversary

The East Lansing Hannah Community Center (ELHCC) is excited to celebrate its 20th anniversary in the upcoming year.

The ELHCC opened its doors to the community in February 2002 and offers the charm of a 1920s building combined with modern amenities. The building includes a performing arts center, heated pool, two gymnasiums, fitness center and meeting/event spaces. The building is also home to the Prime Time Seniors Program, All-of-us Express Children's Theatre and Studio de Danse.

The building originally opened in 1926 as the East Lansing High School and later became the East Lansing Hannah Middle School before being renovated to become the ELHCC.

To celebrate the ELHCC's 20th anniversary, the East Lansing Department of Parks, Recreation and Arts will be hosting a special event each month from January to June 2022. Events will include free classes, music, arts and fun activities. Additional information will be posted to the ELHCC's Facebook and Instagram pages, and will be included in upcoming e-newsletters as well as the winter/spring Connect Magazine.

Audition for AECT's Production of "Twelve Angry Jurors"

All-of-us Express Children’s Theatre (AECT) is excited to offer its Studio Class this winter.

The class will meet on Saturdays beginning January 8, 2022 and will perform May 13-14, 2022. Community members with questions can contact Artistic Director Liz Cooke at (517) 319-6957 or ecooke@cityofeastlansing.com.
