Columbia College Chicago alumni Robert Teitel ’90 and George Tillman, Jr ’91 are producing a Netflix film about the grandma who accidentally invited a stranger to Thanksgiving.

‘The Cleaner’ Features Chicago Ties, All-Star Cast Led by Luke Wilson | SCREEN MAGAZINE

While The Cleaner was shot in Los Angeles, many of the cast and crew have deep roots in Chicago. Director Erin Elders ’05, and Producers Chris Charles ’07, John W. Bosher ’06, and Kate Grady ’06 are all alumni of Columbia College Chicago.

Celebrate! ShopColumbia, Columbia College Chicago's art boutique, returns in person to host its 13th Annual Holiday Market. The Holiday Market is a month-long showcase of one-of-a-kind items designed and created by over Columbia artists.

The Market will feature over 100 student, alumni, faculty and staff artists selling fine art, photography, paintings, clothing, fashion accessories, stationery, music, zines and more!

ShopColumbia is a year-round boutique located in the heart of Columbia’s South Loop Campus. In addition to selling the best of what Columbia College artists make, ShopColumbia is a learning laboratory for emerging artists. ShopColumbia supports students by providing a professional environment to hone the process of presenting, marketing, and selling work to the public. Students earn 75% from sales and Faculty, Staff and Alumni earn 50%. Since ShopColumbia opened fall of 2008, ShopColumbia artists have earned over $350,000 from the sale of their work.

After, After, After Party

The “After, After, After Party” is taking place Friday, December 10 from 4-9 p.m., and we want you to come! Featuring Columbia College Chicago artists and performers, this event will give you the chance to witness the fantastic musical talent at Columbia in a safe space. Taking place at the Student Center Event Space, the event is sponsored by WCRX-FM, the Audio Arts and Acoustics Department, the Career Center, Women in Audio (WiA) student organization, and the Columbia College Chicago DJ Club. 

We'll also have an industry panel of audio, music, and video professionals who have worked with top-tier talent such as Polo G, Pooh Shiesty, G Herbo, and The Kid Laroi among others. The event will raise donations for the Greater Chicago Food Depository, a non-profit that provides free food and services for people struggling with hunger. 

RSVP on Handshake. You can support the organization by bringing a canned good to donate or making a donation.
