The good news: Because we do our own sourcing, and don’t rely on complex global supply chains, the Monkey’s Paw is fully stocked for the holidays.
The bad news: The material we sell is old, unusual, and exceedingly difficult to find. Every year is a supply crisis in our business! So if you discover we’re sold out of the Moscow edition of Marx’s "Capital," or the 1932 printing of Huxley’s "Brave New World," please accept our apologies. You shoulda visited last week.

Behind the Vault Door:
Proprietor’s Reserve

It’s that time of year when we open our vault and bring forth our most coveted material: the "Proprietor’s Reserve." These books aren’t necessarily the most expensive in our shop, but they’re the most magnetic, and the ones we’ll have the hardest time parting with. Items from the Proprietor’s Reserve will be revealed one at a time on social media throughout the month of December; you can follow the action on Instagram or Fbook
.

Graphic Salvage Packs
For the holidays, the Monkey’s Paw has once again created a line of Graphic Salvage Packs. These are vellum envelopes, each containing one dozen diverse images carefully harvested from damaged or disbound vintage books. Every image is unique, and has been selected for its piquant visual impact. The envelopes are sealed, so you’ll have to trust us: we earnestly believe that every pack contains dazzling graphic allure, even magic.

For those who like to listen:
This week the charming folks from the Berlin-based "Got Books?" podcast invited the Monkey’s Paw back for a special holiday installment. If you’d like to hear an eccentric antiquarian recommending gift ideas from our shelves, you can find the podcast at https://anchor.fm/gotbooks
