We are excited for the number of members stepping up to be trained as interns. With new leaders stepping up to serve, we will be able to reach out to even more men.

Praise: We have expanded to two groups and both are growing and thriving. 

Prayer: As we continue to grow and minister to new ladies, we pray that the number of leaders and mentors will grow as well to keep up with the need.

NEW FACES AT
PURE LIFE ALLIANCE

Jennifer Warren has been a part of Pure Life Alliance for a while, and she has recently stepped into the role of Hidden Hurt Director. We are excited to see what God does next through this ministry!

Elise Pelot started working with PLA in late November. Although she has only been with us a short time, she has already made an impact. You will see her handiwork most often on our social media platforms.

You and Pure Life Alliance!

What a blessing to be part of the Brunch of Champions on September 25! 
The focal presentation was the story of Executive Director, Jeremy Waldridge, told by board member Shane Fookes. When Jeremy’s sexual sin was made public more than ten years ago, Shane was his pastor. 

This relationship allowed Shane to share at the event the unique perspective of a pastor dealing with the impact of sexual sin on his congregation, and Shane pointed out how thankful he was to have an established partnership with Pure Life Alliance at that time. Shane also said that he was in the middle of a sermon series about sexuality when Jeremy’s sin was publicized; is that an example of God’s perfect timing or what?!

Jeremy’s wife also shared how she was affected by her husband’s sexual sin. Their story is devastating, but the way that God has redeemed their relationship is inspiring and beautiful. God is truly a God of miracles!

Our goal for the morning had been to raise $15,000, a lofty goal for the 46 people in attendance. However, God provided abundantly, and we raised $20,500! How amazing is that?!

Thank you to everyone who attended, donated, spoke, prayed, and/or helped with the brunch in any way! God clearly has plans for the future of PLA, and we are thrilled to be partnering with you in this important work.

October 14 was our first Pastors’ Lunch and Learn. At this event we partnered with Be Broken Ministries and Portland Fellowship to focus on the topic of transgenderism. John Fort helped us understand God’s narrative around sexuality, and KathyGrace Duncan shared her powerful story of transformation from woman to man and back to the woman God designed her to be. We plan to host more Lunch and Learn events to help equip pastors and church staff to better serve their communities in the area of sexuality.

“On Saturday, October 23rd, my son and I joined 5 other fathers and their sons as we learned how to communicate with each other in better ways. As a dad, I learned how to make the tough conversations with my son a judgment-free zone. I watched as my son began to realize that the thoughts that he was having were a normal part of life and by talking together we could learn how to address feelings in healthy ways.
