CORRECTION: NEW OFFERING


Please note, we are excited to be offering these new classes. However, final details regarding the assistance of the backing band are still being confirmed by the Board of Directors. We will communicate options available in a timely manner. In the meantime, we look forward to your registrations.

Contemporary Vocal Solo Cover, Contemporary Vocal Solo Singer/Songwriter, Contemporary Vocal Duet, Contemporary Vocal Group, School Contemporary Vocal Duet, School Contemporary Vocal Group, Family Music, and Community Music will be held at Owl Acoustic Lounge, a fabulous all-ages space in downtown Lethbridge. Please email Megan (generalmanager@lethmsf.org) with any questions. We hope to have an exciting class full of performers!

FESTIVAL FORMAT


The Board of Directors of the Lethbridge & District Music & Speech Arts Festival Society are excited to announce the 2022 Festival will be occurring March 28-April 9, 2022. The Board is exploring all options of format delivery, and at this time, the Festival will be delivered in an in-person format. The Board is monitoring the pandemic environment and is prepared to make adjustments to the festival format in the best interest of the festival participants. 

The Festival will be following the Restriction Exemption Program for all staff, board, volunteers and audience members. Please refer to the Government of Alberta Covid website for more information. Participants aged 17 and younger are not required to show proof of vaccination. Participants aged 18 and older will be in compliance with the Restriction Exemption Program.

REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT


Registration and payment will be completed online via the PayPal option in Music Festival Suite.  If you require another method of payment, please contact our General Manager, Megan Wittig, as soon as possible at generalmanager@lethmsf.org.

Registration opens December 1, 2021 and firmly closes January 28, 2022 at midnight. Payment must also be completed by this time. The Profile Log In page is found at lethmsf.org/reg/. If you are unsure of your profile ID, please contact Megan as soon as possible to retrieve it. 

If you are new to the Festival, you must create a profile. This includes teachers, parents, accompanists, and entrants. Please see the instructions under “Registration Information” found near the bottom of the page at lethmsf.org/reg/.

SYLLABUS


Please review the Syllabus very closely. Subtle changes have been made from last including, including the removal of all Alberta Excellence classes and new requirements for recommendation to the Canada West Festival. A reminder that all participants 12 years and older recommended to the Provincial Festival must be double vaccinated at this time. If this ruling changes, we will pass the information along.

35 CAMPAIGN


This is your invitation to “Help us Thrive”.  Your $35 (or more) donation ensures the continuation of the festival movement in Alberta! For every $35 received, the Alberta Music Festival, if requested, will give a donation of $15 back to the local festival that the donor requests OR all $35 can be donated to A.M.F.A. – your choice. The form can be found here on our website!
