With your help we made an impact.
With your help we can keep going.

‘Tis the season of giving, and we know you are inundated with requests. Thank you for opening this email! There are so many organizations you could donate to, yet how many of them are in a make-or-break situation?

We are at a critical point where our choices are: dismantle The Soul Box Project in a few months – or find the support to continue. Leadership and staff are committed to this Project and your donation of any size can help fund our future. Sharing this appeal will help even more!

Because of your investment of time and money the important goal of exhibiting on the National Mall in October was realized. The response in D.C was one of deep gratitude for providing a way to take action that's beautiful, authentic, and joins rather than divides. We are now getting requests to display Soul Boxes all around the country. This was our goal, but our current resources can’t support the demand.

By supporting The Soul Box Project right now, you’re helping our small, innovative, volunteer-based nonprofit survive. You can help fulfill our long-term intention of revealing the extent of the US gunfire epidemic while offering solace and healing for trauma that can perpetuate violence. We know The Soul Box Project can help people cope and give them hope that their children, or their children's children, can live in a safer, more civil society.

Together, we have created something meaningful and valuable. Let’s keep it alive.
Looking forward to working together in 2022  ~ Leslie

Your support will help us follow up
on the impact we made in D.C.
It’s as easy as sharing our GoFundMe

Donate any amount.
When Go Fund Me thanks you, follow their prompt to share.

Crowdfunding campaigns succeed when activity and amounts raised boost their visibility and broaden outreach. Just think what could happen if our Go Fund Me was featured on their platform. We could do less fundraising and more heart healing. Let's make that happen!

All year-end donations sent to The Soul Box Project will be reflected in the Go Fund Me grand total. Here are ways to give:
  • Checks save processing fees. Make payable to Soul Box Project USA and send to P.O.Box 19900, Portland, OR 97280
  • EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) Soul Box Project USA EIN #84-2971470
Trailhead Credit Union Routing #323075563 Account #1050009240490
  • Become a monthly donor for 2022

Soul Box Project USA is a charitable and educational organization as described in section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Your donation is tax-deductible.

The Soul Box Project team is proud to announce
our newest board member, Beverly Emers!

If you attended the event in D.C. you will remember Beverly's compelling presence at the incoming Procession on Saturday. She was featured in two of the prominent news platforms that reported on the event: Soledad O'Brian's Matter of Fact and NOW THIS. Beverly lives in The Bronx in New York and brings a fresh perspective to our efforts.

I lead with my personal experience as a survivor and a witness to so many families being impacted in my local community. -Beverly Emers

Mark Your Calendar
We will need your help to move our workshop out of The Multnomah Arts Center in January 2022. Tentatively plan for dates the week Jan.10-15th.
More details in the New Year.

Please email volunteer@soulboxproject.org
to make sure you get the information!

Can you help us find new storage/workspace? As we transition to the next phase of this Project, the expense of 3 storage units and rent at The Multnomah Arts Center is not sustainable.

We’re looking for 700-1000 sq. feet of donated or more cost effective space. We’d like to keep storage and workspace in one place if possible. Eyes and ears open everyone! This is TOP priority!
Ask us about the possible tax benefits!
Could YOU help us fill some volunteer positions?
We’re in need of skilled volunteers starting in 2022 to help with
small projects, administrative tasks, grant writing, communications, and fundraising.

If you use Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or Linked In we need help keeping up with our social media accounts by sharing, commenting, and interacting with our followers. No content creation needed!

Any skill or amount of time could be valuable. Let's talk!
We'd like to find a gathering space in Portland to host a celebration for all of our volunteers, donors, and supporters!
Do you have connections to a church, business, or community space that is allowing in-person events?
We're looking for a venue that has a big screen so we can share all the photos and some video from the weekend in D.C. while people are mingling, reuniting and sharing stories.
After four years there are a bunch of us! It would be good to see you all in January to kick off a New Year.
Please email info@soulboxproject.org if you have any leads or have ideas about how you can help. Thank you !
