Howdy Houston!
It is December 14th and I can't believe it was until today that I could have a sit, think about all the amazing things we went through this year. As we continue to pickup speed in the industry, Houston professionals are becoming more active and for me is a good signal that things are coming back to normal.
So many stories of success at SHPE National Convention Orlando 2021, it was great to see a lot of great people, finally get to meet a lot of them in person after many virtual collaborations, happy to see students landing internships for Summer 2022, and last but not least, SHPE Houston Professional got awarded Regional Professional Chapter of the Year!! so happy for our members that support our chapter but specially to our board of directors that week after week selflessly dedicate their spare time to keep changing lives!!
Thanks for all the support and I can only finish this by whishing you happy holidays, Happy New Year and may 2022 comes filled with blessings, health for you and your loved ones and that all your resolutions come true!!
I want to remind you that if you are not a paid member, what are you waiting for? And if you are a member, make sure your membership is current because that's the only way you can have access to special events and our t-shirts - not to mention that part of the cost of the membership helps us to operate and part of it goes to scholarships. Please stay safe, stay strong, and continue to be SHPE Familia!
Please don't forget about the Houston Professional Chapter when you hear about matching donation programs at your company! Donations through these programs are a huge help towards our scholarship funding every year. If you have questions about this, please reach out to any one of our officers.
Saludos familia and I hope to see you at our upcoming events!
