Join us for a COVID-19 information session where we will be discussing what it means for communities affected by HIV and hepatitis C and our community-based response to the pandemic.

The CIHR Canadian HIV Trials Network (CTN) is pleased to announce the 2022/23 competition for the CTN Postdoctoral Fellowship Awards Program.

The program offers career support to outstanding young scientists at major Canadian centres.
The goals are:
  • to help meet the need for trained principal investigators in HIV and related health conditions in Canada,
  • to foster a dynamic research environment at Canadian HIV care centres and institutions, and
  • to promote cooperation and collaboration among pharmaceutical and bio-technology industries, government and scientists in the evaluation of new HIV therapies, vaccines and clinical interventions.
We have several postdoctoral fellowship awards available. To provide equitable access for candidates who cannot find a supervisor with sufficient expertise in the candidate's area of interest within their region (for example, the Atlantic and Prairie Provinces or the Territories), we are willing to match candidates with CTN Investigators who are available to virtually co-supervise candidates.

Click here to find out more and download an application form.
Application deadline: February 15, 2022.

Information about COVID-19 and People living with HIV
COVID-19 continues to affect the operations of our city and our daily lives. Here are some quick links to fact sheets and websites that we think are helpful to have at your fingertips.

Toronto reaches 85% eligible residents fully vaccinated

"This week, we reached two major vaccination milestones: we’ve administered more than five million vaccine doses and more than 85% of eligible Toronto residents are fully vaccinated.

"Our vaccination progress is outstanding and I know that progress will continue.

"As the largest city in Canada and fourth largest in North America, Toronto has the highest fully vaccinated rate for its entire population when compared to other major metropolitan cities such as New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles, and London, England. That's a testament to the residents of Toronto who have stepped up to do the right thing."
