Dear All

Can you believe it is only 15 days until Christmas!? The countdown is well and truly on.

Christmas is such a key moment for us as Christians – a chance to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ and the hope that He brings. With all that’s going on this period, let us not forget to take time to consider the wonder of the Christmas story. There are lots of ways for us to do that as a church together, and here is all the info you need about the services we have coming up over the next couple of weeks.

Carol Services

This Sunday (12th) we have our Carol Services and they are going to be fantastic! We have three services – at 9.30am, 11.30am and 5pm. I’ve managed to have a sneak peek at some of the content and you really don’t want to miss it.

Don’t forget we are asking people to book tickets and there’s a limited amount of space, so if you don’t want to miss out, make sure you book ASAP and arrive by the start time as after that we will release seats to any people waiting. You can book tickets here. And remember, it’s not too late to invite someone, so why not book them in as well?

We also have an online carol service which will be available from Sunday on the King’s website to watch at any time.

“I’m very much looking forward to being at King’s this Sunday for our first weekend of Christmas services.

In view of the latest government announcements regarding Covid, we are asking you all to wear a mask (unless you are exempt) in line with the new guidelines...” Read more

Family Christmas Services

As well as our Carol Services, we are also having Family Christmas Services on Sunday 19th December. These are fantastic services for the whole family and will last just over an hour.

These will run at our normal times of 9.30am and 11.30am and you don’t need to book tickets for these. Again, why don’t think about who you can invite along – it’s a great one to invite friends or family with young children along to.

Christmas Day

We will be meeting on Christmas Day as usual at 10.30am at Catford. I love the Christmas Day service and am looking forward to seeing lots of us there to celebrate and worship together. It will be a relaxed service with all ages welcome. Also, a reminder that we won’t be meeting on Boxing Day (Sunday 26th) but will resume our Sunday gatherings on Sunday 2nd January.

Watchnight

One of the services I really missed being in person last year was Watchnight. For me there is no better way to see in the New Year than worshiping and seeking God together. Therefore, I’m really excited that this year we will meet at our Catford building from 11pm to worship, pray and hear from God’s Word. We will be asking people to book in for this. Tickets are now available, and you can book in here.

And finally...

Well, that’s all from me. As you can see there is lots going on and plenty to get involved with. I’m sure I will see many of you over the next couple of weeks at our services and I look forward to celebrating the joy of Christmas with you.
