It’s holiday time in many places. You'll find festivals, lighted parades, and chestnuts roasting on open fires. There are plenty of things to do outside this time of year.

Steubenville, Ohio has a Nutcracker Village. It began in the old fort and spread to the park. Today they have over 180 different nutcrackers all over the historic business district.
Leavenworth, Washington, population 2,400, has the ChristKindlmkt. It's every Thanksgiving weekend to kick off the holiday shopping season. Garrison, ND, population 1,900, has the Dickens Village Festival. Thibodaux, Louisiana, population 14,500, hosts the Main Street Market. Those vendors are right alongside the businesses downtown.

These holiday markets are a great place to look for entrepreneurs! Do you have a holiday market in your town, your region or your state? Make a visit, support local folks, and see who the entrepreneurs are. Get their information. Find out if they go to other towns for other markets, pop ups or seasonal things.

Then you can invite them to an event or activity in your town!

Happy Holidays,

Deb
