It is a time to find strength in each other so that we can go into the new year renewed in our commitment to love, dignity, justice and solidarity with those under stress. The team will take some time off, and the office will be closed from 15th December until the first week of January 2022.

Journeying in struggle – an introductory story about the Accompaniment Programme
In addition to providing financial support for social justice actions, ACT Ubumbano has been engaged in conversations with the community activists and organisations doing the work. The purpose is to document their stories and to encourage reflection on their social justice practice and how we stand in solidarity with communities under stress. That journey of documenting, reflecting, learning and sharing will continue into 2022. World Justice Challenge 2022: Building more just communities
Imprisoned at age 16, Mtilosera Pindani (center, between his parents) was released from Malawi’s death row after 22 years, thanks to the efforts of previous World Justice Challenge winner Malawi Sentencing Project.

30 finalists will be invited to The Hague to showcase their work at the World Justice Forum 2022 (May 30-June 2). The World Justice Project will award five Challenge winners $20,000 USD each to expand their impact advancing the rule of law.
