Community Information Now (CI:Now) has posted two Requests for Proposals (RFPs), one for web development and one for graphic design and communications, as we build a new online data platform to provide the public with data on health and social determinants of health. CI:Now is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit local data intermediary housed in and staffed through the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston School of Public Health in San Antonio. Working with a variety of public and nonprofit partner organizations, CI:Now turns local data into information Texas communities can use for planning, trending community change over time, understanding relationships among community issues, and measuring results.

Open RFPs are posted at https://cinow.info/rfps/. Minority and women-owned businesses are strongly encouraged to submit proposals. Bexar County-based firms are strongly preferred.
Community Information Now (CI:Now) is requesting proposals for web development services to create and deploy a public facing online data platform that incorporates interactive mapping, charts, reports and data downloads that enable flexible query of data disaggregated by place (census tract, neighborhood, ZCTA) and demographics including race/ethnicity. The platform will incorporate a user-centered design based on input from potential users in Bexar County, TX. The design will include two “front doors” to different versions of the site, one for entry-level users and a second for advanced data users. Web development will also incorporate styling and site design layout from a graphic designer. Community Information Now (CI:Now) is requesting proposals for graphic design, communication services and branding to create the look-and-feel of a public facing online data platform that incorporates interactive mapping, charts, reports and data downloads that enable flexible query of data disaggregated by place (census tract, neighborhood, ZCTA) and demographics including race/ethnicity. The graphic design will incorporate potential local user input from a user-centered design process conducted by CI:Now. The design will include two “front doors” to different versions of the site, one for entry-level users and a second for advanced data users. The entry-level version will be replicated in Spanish. Designer will provide HTML/CSS layouts to the project web developer to incorporate into the online platform environment.
