Construction of the 1.8 mile Acme Connector Trail is underway and plans call for a fall completion. Earlier this spring a hearty group of community leaders, advocates, and enthusiasts came out to celebrate the ground breaking for the trail connection in Acme. Project and community partners joined with generous public and private donors to commemorate this significant milestone. Team Elmer's is now busy constructing the new trail extension north of Bunker Hill Rd that will connect to local parks, neighborhoods, and businesses. More about this segment here.

Project partners at Top of Michigan Trails Council and TART Trails are exploring trail interests and connections in the Eastport and Torch Lake areas as part of the Nakwema Trailway. If you are a resident of this area and are interested in being involved in efforts to create connections in this corridor, please contact Project Manager Elizabeth Calcutt.
