Dragon Spirits Marketing (a Capital Factory validated company) has created the #1 Brand Ambassador Gig Marketplace that solves the massive problem of matching amazing, growing brands with educated, curated, and passionate brand ambassadors at 1000’s of brand activations across the US.

In order to scale and provide top-level brand ambassadors (Dragons) for brands with brand activations all over the U.S., we created our in-house marketplace platform, aptly named The Dragon Engagement Network™ (DEN).

Our goal is to make Dragon Spirits Marketing the #1 Brand Ambassador Gig Marketplace in America, and with your help, we will surely get there.

[Full Disclosure: I personally invested in this WeFunder because I strongly believe in the mission that Lamar, Chris, and the rest of the Dragons are rapidly accomplishing]
As we flip the page from 2021 to 2022, I’d like us all to reflect on the positives of the CPG community here in Texas: more brands, more capital (including syndicates), more venues, and more customers. We’ve strengthened our community with organizations like SKU, DFWCPG, and NaturallyAustin and we’ve even enjoyed a few get togethers in person in the last few months. The general feeling that I’m hearing from CPG founders, investors, and other service providers is that Texas and specifically Austin is earning a very strong reputation in the CPG space – and that’s drawing a lot of positive attention from the rest of the world. There’s a certain optimism for all of the companies that have survived the pandemic and every startup I talk to is having normal growing pains of finding more co-man and storage capacity while looking for more capital to grow their brands. It seems like all of the hard work that many of you have put into to your companies is paying off for everyone.

We are all tentatively planning budgets, inventory, and sales for 2022 with upcoming events like Fancy Food Show, Expo West, the Consumer VC eCommerce Summit (March 1st - 3rd), and SXSW right around the corner. Speaking of SXSW, while there is no ‘official’ CPG track this year, there will be the #FutureFoodSXSW hosted by our friend RNA and presented by Zero Hunger | Zero Waste by Kroger and my business partner, Mike Gelb the founder of The Consumer VC Podcast will be coming to Austin for a half-day CPG community event including a special edition Wake Up! CPG meetup and a live audience podcast series. If you happen to be in Los Angeles on January 12th, Mike is hosting the first LA-based Wake Up! CPG meetup. Please REGISTER and share the event with your LA CPG friends.

Thanks for your loyal readership and I welcome any suggestions on how I can improve this newsletter and our meetups to better serve you.

Happy and Prosperous New Year!

Sincerely,

Marc Nathan
