Registration Opens January 14th!

We are excited to announce

that registration for Discoveree 2022 opens on Friday, January 14th! Our 54th Discoveree will be returning to our usual in-person event.

Our workshop catalog is available for you to review now. Check out over 65 workshops that we have available including 25 crafting workshops and several required Girl Scout trainings including Camp Out!, Extended Troop Travel, First Aid (hybrid) and Gold Award Training.

Discoveree 2022 Information

Registration will be available, as usual, through Doubleknot. We will send the registration link to everyone once registration is open. Remember that everyone attending must register and must be fully vaccinated for Covid - this includes participants, workshop leaders, volunteers, and council staff.

Older Girl Opportunity!

We are looking for several girl scouts in grades 6th - 12 Older Girl Service Bars

th to help out as Discoveree Assistants. Typical jobs include distributing lunches and delivering materials to and from classrooms. Have fun helping at a great Girl Scout event and enjoy some downtime too with crafts and snacks.

We have created slides for use in service unit volunteer meetings. If you are on a Service Unit Team, please include them in your January and February meetings!

We will have tables near the Council's pop-up shop where you can set up a display but you must register with us in advance by filling out this form.

Leader Feature: Council Interest Groups

Every month we will have ideas, tips, and resources for you to use during troop meetings or as part of your Girl Scout year. Have a suggestion? Email gsdiscoveree@gmail.com.

Do you have a scout that likes to backpack, but you're not a backpacking troop? What about other high adventure activities? Interested in honing your social media skills? Then a Council Interest Group might be for you.

What is an Interest Group? A group that provides volunteer-run program opportunities for older girls with a specific focus.

Who can join? All Girl Scouts in grades 5-12 are welcome to join, whether they are independent Girl Scouts or members of a traditional troop.

What Interest Groups exist in our Council?

Backpacking Interest Group - Love to backpack or want to learn how? This is the group for you. All skill levels are welcome.

Mariner Girl Scouts - Interested in boating and sailing, Mariner's have you covered!

Media Squad - Be part of the Council's Media Squad and learn journalism and social media skills.
