Dear friend,

As we are reaching the end of the year, we are looking back with gratitude on all that God has done. Our DTS students graduated at the beginning of December and all five of them have decided to continue in missions! We see that our faithful presence in the neighborhood ‘Henri Coanda’ has resulted in many families entrusting their children to our programs. Our impact on their lives is growing! Our favor with local churches is increasing, resulting in more and more collaboration to see God’s kingdom come in and around our city. And since we started reaching out to our neighborhood, many testify to the blessing our community has become to them. As followers of Christ, we are called to introduce his rule and reign into the situations and places we come across. In aiming to do so with the humility of Christ I am certain we will continue to see many beautiful things evolve, also in the year to come.

The leadership of YWAM Constanta

Our DTS finished this month and we are so proud of our students! They went on outreach throughout Romania and finished up with a few weeks in Turkey. During that time they stepped out of their comfort zones and saw the Holy Spirit move through them! Each of the students had many lessons they were taking away from their times of ministry and living in community together. We are excited to see that all of them will continue living life in missions with God and we are praying for their next steps on this journey!

“As someone with a few more years experience under my belt both in life, in ministry and around the dinner table (it's a big belt), DTS was an amazing opportunity to stop and reassess all that I know to be true. While much of the teaching was familiar to me, there certainly was and will always be moments when, even though familiar teaching, God will take you to a deeper level in him. Growing my understanding of his love and passion for people. Like anyone’s DTS, mine was full of highs and the occasional low but what blessed me most was being part of the YWAM Constanta Community. Sharing life together seeing the values of YWAM lived out before me. Having the opportunity to share my heart and other's hearts. Psalm 68:6 says God sets the lonely in families. YWAM Constanta is definitely a beautiful family to be set in. Thank you to everyone who was part of my YWAM journey this far and I can't wait to journey with you some more. Your heart for God for each other and for the community of Constanta, Romania and beyond inspires me, blesses me and challenges me.“

Community is what makes Constanta and this year we were able to go deeper with God together! Every two years YWAM Constanta has a staff retreat and this year it was an amazing time with everyone together after a long busy summer. We had great team-building times with games along with free time for board games, bike rides, nature walks, and more. We were able to enjoy where we were and be present with each other through this retreat. Our times with God were guided by a speaker and in that, we could have quiet time, small groups, large group processing, and more which helped us go “Into the Deep”. He spoke to us individually and shared His heart with us for the next season as a base. Coming back to Constanta after the retreat, each staff member was renewed and refreshed by God and time together so that we can carry that forward back into our ministries.

If you haven’t yet heard, in 2022 we are going to be a part of something amazing and you can too! We are partnering with other YWAM teams in our region to host a “Collaborative DTS”. The Lecture Phase will be mobile, taking place in three countries: Hungary, Serbia, and Romania. The Outreach Phase will follow as the students, led by YWAM staff, will break into smaller teams and travel somewhere in Central Europe to serve and share God's love, compassion, and life-changing power. The Outreach Phase is very practical where the students are able to put into practice what they are learning. We are now taking applications for our next DTS which will begin on February 27, 2022.
