You are amazing.
Brought forward on vinyl or in digital format, some of this year’s most intriguing electronic music releases found their way to our online channels where they were deeply explored and reviewed by our editors in order to be presented to a curious international audience. Our list includes established artists and labels as well as new names in the scene who made resonant debuts and rapidly gained massive support from the underground community.
Dutch artist Odette returns to her vinyl-only venture VDK with “Better Do It Right”, bringing forward an original track and three pumping reinterpretations signed by Terry Francis, Brizman and Ollie Drummond. Founded in 2019, the label has so far delivered four intriguing records which rapidly captured the underground community’s attention and enjoyed massive support from well-known selectors and electronic music enthusiasts.
Alexis Cabrera returns to Giuliano Lomonte’s well-known label Point of View with a bubbly two-tracker titled “9 Days EP”. Launched in 2016, the label so far collaborated with artists like Federico Molinari, Volkan Akin, Noha, Viceversa, Arapu and Shaggie, with more to come in the near future.
Paris-based brothers Julian and Gianni Ripoli aka Miroloja recently announced “Subatom EP” to arrive soon via the Romanian label Sintope Vinyl Series. The record features three fresh cuts that smoothly complement one another, creating an uplifting synergy perfect for the dance floor while adding even more magic to the imprint’s vinyl catalogue.
Puls Romania reveals the first pressing to arrive from their freshly founded record label part of the venture featuring Serbian DJ and producer Mladen Stoiljković aka Stoilku at the controls alongside local icon Herck on remix duties. Titled “Questions EP”, the 12″ brings forward three tracks full of character, each having its own flavour and vibe while marking the next chapter in the Romanian’s imprint journey.
Based in the Russian Federation, Swetlana Dmitriewskaya is a sophisticated collector of intellectual sounds, who has devoted herself to the art of music in all its manifestations since childhood. In her performances, she prefers the German and Romanian schools of minimal techno, which correlates very well with the demand for this genre in the international underground electronic music scene. Today she is a resident DJ at Flat.FM and festivals like Chill Out Planet, Gem Fest, Forest Quest, 8 Miracle and Colorful Sky. For this Christmas session, she carefully selected inspiring steady-paced grooves, perfect for Friday night warm-up, so let’s dive in!
