January 2022

As we begin a brand new chapter in 2022, we want to thank each and every one of our donors, encouragers, supporters, volunteers, fosters, Facebook followers, community friends and EVERYONE associated with helping make our past year one to be proud of.  We will soon be getting our 2021 summary report out to you so that you can share these exciting accomplishments with your friends and neighbors.  It truly "takes a village" to help, heal, foster and re-home the animals that cross our path.  We do it with joy and commitment and invite you to join with us in the coming year by fostering, volunteering, and donating.  We appreciate you!

FOSTERING LEADS TO ...
HAPPY TAILS!

UPDATE ON CIDER (formerly Chuckie) ...

He is now known as Cider and he has a wonderful home. Mindy and her daughter just love him. Chuckie was one of four puppies that were dumped. It took 2 months to get him healthy and ready for a family. Thank you, Sue Adams, for fostering this litter.

UPDATE ON ROCKY (formerly Hershey)...

We wanted to let you know that we adopted Hershey (a puppy of Lucy's) yesterday from Sterling Animal Shelter! We could not be happier! He has adjusted so well! Our family lives in Worcester, MA. Hershey is now Rocky and he was an early gift for our daughter. She loves dogs and has wanted a puppy for a long time. We have been waiting and we saw Hershey on the Sterling website and knew we had to meet him! He is perfect.
Thanks to  Sue  for taking such good care of Lucy and her puppies.

UPDATE ON BOOTSY PURRLY PAWS (formerly Amber) ...

Hi! My name is James and my family and I adopted Amber (now Bootsy Purrly Paws) up here in Maine. Our family is hopelessly in love! We have 5 children aged 4-10 and Bootsy is completely in love and loved beyond imagination. Here is a photo of her enjoying her favorite spot in the living room. Thank you for your part in getting her to us and may you and yours have a joyous and peaceful holiday season!
Thanks to foster Linda Murphy.

UPDATE ON BEAN (formerly Vanilla) ...

We knew her as Vanilla back when she was 5 weeks old. She was one of eight puppies from an unwanted litter that we took in. Now known as Bean she lives in Greenville, Maine with her new family.  Bean is loving her new home. They adore her and she is happy. Lucky Bean!

UPDATE ON NAVI ...

This Skyler, Navi’s new owner. "My boyfriend and I rescued Navi about a month ago and have completely fallen in love with her. Her personality is definitely starting to show, as we quickly learned she can not be trusted near any sort of food or objects containing stuffing. And she certainly believes she is 10 lbs. and not 80 as she loves to sleep ON TOP -- not next to -- but ON TOP of us. Thank you for taking such good care of her before we were able to find her."

May each of you enjoy a happy and healthy new year ...
A "pawsitively" spendid new year!
