If you are interested in performing at the 2022 Northwest Folklife Festival, please complete the performer application by December 31st.
We will be reviewing applications through January, but please fill out an application as soon as possible. In recognition of the vacillations of COVID protocols, we are going to try and remain as flexible as possible to accommodate folx during this process.

We want to inform you about an important update to our COVID policy. We are now requiring proof of vaccination for all participants of the 2022 Northwest Folklife festival, including staff, volunteers, artists, and vendors.
Specific requirements for audience members will be communicated using the most current state, county, city, and/or Seattle Center campus guidelines available, closer to the festival. This decision is guided by our commitment to the health of our community. We will request proof of vaccination from selected artists after first confirmations go out in mid-March.
Unfortunately, we are not able to accept negative covid tests in lieu of vaccination for any artists or vendors who will be onsite at the Northwest Folklife Festival. All Northwest Folklife staff, contractors and volunteers are subject to Executive Order 2021-08, and we have received guidance from Seattle Center and the City that festival performers, vendors, and volunteers fall under the umbrella of “contractors and volunteers.”
If the situation changes before the festival in regards to the Executive Order, Northwest Folklife will be keeping the mandatory vaccination requirement for all onsite staff, contractors, and volunteers.
