UNYP community donates gifts to Dolní Počernice Children’s Home

Philanthropy is an important UNYP tradition, and every year we mark the holiday season by collecting for a charitable cause. This year, the UNYP Student Council has worked with the UNYP library and the university community to collect Christmas presents for children at the Dolní Počernice Children’s Home (DDDP).

How to Prioritize! (Especially when everything seems to be Priority 1)

Here’s one that almost all of us have faced at one time or another: A mass of work or projects to accomplish, limited time available, and every task and every project pushing to be Priority 1! As the work stacks up and we get farther and farther behind, the overload of considerations associated with each task begins to destroy our sense of objectivity.

Rethinking Sustainability Strategies for Small Independent Media in the Western Balkans

Independent media perform an important public service function by providing content that is often missing from the mainstream media: for example, balanced information, educational programs, coverage of human rights issues, and content addressing the cultural and other needs of marginalized groups. Although important results have been achieved, there is criticism as to how sustainable such endeavors are, once donors retreat or shift priorities.
