There is a box of baby bottles in the Narthex; please take one home for your family to collect all the loose change it takes to feel the bottle and return the filled bottles to the box in the Narthex for a donation to this amazing program. Feel free to also make a donation to Social Ministry and just write in Hearts for Jesus on your envelope. The school also has bottles in their classrooms for the children to bring in their change!  We will be accepting these donations for January, February and March. Thank you so much!

Moriah Thomas

My name is Moriah and I have been working with children for quite some time! I am currently enrolled in college studying Psychology. I have taken child psychology courses as well. I have worked inside many daycares for over the course of three years. I had the opportunity to intern inside of two elementary schools during my time in high school. I Also studied early childhood during my high school career for three years. That experience then led me to become an educator for two years and now I work for Children's Health Care of Atlanta.

Jesus Feeds the Five Thousand

13 When Jesus heard what had happened, he withdrew by boat privately to a solitary place. Hearing of this, the crowds followed him on foot from the towns. 14 When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them and healed their sick.
15 As evening approached, the disciples came to him and said, “This is a remote place, and it’s already getting late. Send the crowds away, so they can go to the villages and buy themselves some food.”
16 Jesus replied, “They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.”
17 “We have here only five loaves of bread and two fish,” they answered Bring them here to me,” he said. 19 And he directed the people to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people. 20 They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over. 21 The number of those who ate was about five thousand men, besides women and children.

Faith Lutheran Church and School has so much to be thankful for. The community that we worship in can be so proud of what we have accomplished in 2021 to many people who are less fortunate than most.

I love the story of Jesus feeding the 5000! Can you even imagine that? Well let’s take a look at just a few things  Faith Lutheran Church and School has accomplished this year!

School Backpack’s Collected and supplies – 50 backpack’s were put together and extra supplies were delivered to East Valley.

Operation Christmas Child – 110 Boxes sent to third world countries.

Christmas Toy, Scarf, Hat, Glove, Socks and Underwear Drive - 2 carloads to Simple Needs. They were so appreciative!
