Our virtual programming continued in 2021, with Keys participating in 6 workshops and 2 panels.

In September 2021, Ring of Keys was officially classified a 501(c)3 organization, giving us new opportunities for funding and messaging.

We continued to expand partnerships with other organizations across the industry, including Backstage, Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, and Casting Society of America.
|

On December 6, Aislinn Frantz began her tenure as the new Executive Director of Ring of Keys. Following a 5-month search process with a search committee and consultancy from Forge NYC, we were thrilled to welcome Aislinn to the team.

We Introduced the Keyship-- a way for Keys to give back to Ring of Keys through a recurring donation. Keyships and all donations are integral in allowing Ring of Keys to continue to serve the community.
|

In addition to the BIPOC committee established in 2020, we added a TGNC committee to help steer Ring of Keys in the most inclusive direction and ensure we're serving our TGNC Keys.

Our Queering the Canon series will return in early 2022, with three concerts featuring the music of Andrew Lloyd Webber, Stephen Sondheim, and Kander & Ebb alongside new songs by Keys!Keep an eye out for more details about dates, creative teams, performers, and more!

- Keys built relationships at every level: procured agents through RoK, found new artistic collaborators because of RoK, and were hired for jobs through our RoK Directory
- We received grants from the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council and NYC Pride for the Queering the Canon series
- Founding Executive Director Andrea Prestinario announced her resignation in July. She will remain on the Board of Directors
- Our Spring Town Hall inspired the creation of our TGNC Committee and renewed commitments to our TGNC community
- Continued strategic planning with Forge NYC, in addition to their assistance with the Executive Director search
- In June, we partnered with Cabaret on the Couch to highlight performances by Keys.
- Uplifted, amplified, and spotlighted HUNDREDS of Keys (!!!)
