It has been a busy year for us!
We moved to new offices, hired several full and part time staff, and had our first community event in almost 2 years!
In addition to all of this we have been able to help more clients than in any single year since QCAIR was established.
IFSP is a financial assistance program in Illinois that helps Immigrants and Refugees who do not generally qualify for government assistance.
In fiscal year 2021, which ended in June 2021 we helped 221 individuals, and just in the first 5 months of the current fiscal year we have processed 441 applications. We will continue to take applications into Spring of 2022. If you know someone who qualifies please have them call us for an appointment.
Below is an example of how this assistance impacts our local immigrant populations, who are particularly vulnerable during the pandemic.

The impact of covid-19 on my life was so strong. I was unemployed for 4 months while caring for my husband who was fighting for his life. I had contracted covid-19 and brought it home and my husband caught it. And receiving this economic benefit was a great blessing because it minimized my economic anguish to be able to pay my rent and my bills. From this moment bless the lives of each person who made this help that has been given to us possible.
