Recreational Reserve To Be Sold to MUD

The Olympia Estates Community Association will be selling the parcel of land near the corner of Vicksburg and Truesdale to Fort Bend County MUD #48. The MUD is also acquiring the rest of the land on that corner and intends to build a park. The deal is expected to close in January.

We think that the MUD’s plan is a good one and will be a great amenity for the neighborhood. The MUD will develop and maintain the park using its property tax revenue.

Annual Assessment Due In January

The annual assessment remains unchanged in 2022; the board was able to do this by a combination of keeping expenses low and because we will be receiving money from the MUD in the sale of the land.

Your assessment is due on January 1 and must be paid before January 31, 2021 to avoid late fees. Paying your assessment on time helps the association spend more time and money on improving the neighborhood and less on collections.

To pay your assessment, use the homeowner portal.

Act Next Month If You Want A Bigger Recycling Container

When WCA (now known as Green For Life Environmental) began servicing Missouri City, all homes were issued 95 gallon trash containers and 65 gallon recycling containers. If you would like a 95 gallon recycling bin (and/or if you would like a 65 gallon trash bin) you can call GFL at 281-368-8397 during the months of January, February, and March. Leave a message and someone from GFL will contact you to let you know what to do with your old container.

It will take 4 to 6 weeks after the cutoff date of 3/31/22 for new containers to be delivered. If you miss the cutoff date to request a different size container, you will not have another opportunity to request it again until the following January.
