What's On Robin's Easel This Month?

Beach Lover-work in progress

To me nature is a great balm. Walking in the woods or working in the garden, especially my pond, all are necessary for my well being.

Best of all though is walking beside the ocean, the great lakes are ok, but nothing beats the oceanic cradle of life.

Another version of this painting recently sold, and I've started exploring the scene again, this time with a bit of a looser style that gives the medium (paint) more control.

I've applied the same principle to this painting, as yet unnamed.

Suggestions for a name? hit reply and let me know.

I'm afraid that the last two months I've been spending more time reworking than fresh starting.

It's my usual practice to have 2-4 paintings on the go at once, to allow for the all important drying time.

Instead there is one new start, and a whole lot of re-worked paintings gracing the studio work tables.

Many of the paintings I did at the start of my run up to my solo shows this year seemed a bit dull compared to the work I've done in the last 6 months, where I was pushing colour and value patterns harder. So, I pulled them out and started to push!

It's probable no one else will notice the difference, but I do lol.

Since we spoke last, seven works have found their forever homes, Thank you to everyone who has supported this 'local artist'. I am truly grateful.

Until next month
Robin
