Pedestrian Safety

SW Orchard Hill Rd to Oswego Towne Square

SW Boones Ferry shoulder conceptual design.

Southwest in Motion (SWIM) was adopted by City council in 2019. It’s a short-term prioritization, refinement, and implementation strategy for planned active transportation investments in Southwest Portland. A walkway connection from SW Orchard Hill Rd to Oswego Towne Square is included (See Project BP 40 Boones Ferry Walkway).

Your help is needed to advocate for implementation of projects like this that will improve pedestrian access along Boones Ferry. Consider joining your neighborhood association and learn how to navigate buracracy and work for the common good.
