코로나 시국에 가을 학기를 대면 수업으로 시작하여 걱정과 염려가 많았지만 단 한건의 감염도 없이 무사히 한 학기를 보냈습니다. Wellness form을 미리 보내주시고, 체온체크에 협조해주시고 무엇보다 마스크를 꼭 써주신 여러분들의 사랑과 노력으로 달성한 결과 입니다. 델라웨어 한국학교 모든 학생, 학부모님께 감사드립니다.

The fall semester started in person, and despite many worries and concerns, we passed the semester safely without a single infection. Thank you to all of our students and parents for sending the wellness form in advance, cooperating with the temperature check, and, above all, making sure to wear a mask!
말하기 대회 Speech Contest
열심히 원고를 쓰고 발음을 연습하고, 18일 우리는 드디어 무대에 올라 각자 노력한 바를 열심히 선 보였습니다. 많은 좋은 연설을 들으며 우리는 함께 감동하고, 기뻐하며, 한 사람의 경험과 생각이 델라웨어 한국학교 학생 모두의 경험과 생각으로 확대 공유되는 멋진 경험을 하였습니다. 말하기대회에 참여한 모든 학생들에게 감사드립니다. 그날 화면의 은상 수상자 명단에서 조정의씨의 이름이 빠졌습니다. 저의 부주의입니다. 이 자리를 빌어 다시 사과합니다. 대상을 받은 엘레나씨 축하합니다. 수상자 명단은 다음과 같습니다.
After writing their manuscripts and practicing pronunciation, on the 18th our students finally got on stage and showed their hard work. Hearing many good speeches, we were moved and rejoiced together. Thank you to all the students who participated in the speech contest.
And apologies to Jonathan Justice, whose name was accidentally missed from the list of silver prize winners on the screen. Congratulations, and again, we apologize for the error. Also, congratulations to Elena Zerfus who received the grand prize. The list of winners is as follows:
종강식 Closing Ceremony 12월 18일 델라웨어 한국학교는 종강식에 작은 공연을 하였습니다. 박영은 이사장님의 격려사로 문을 열고, 사물놀이로 마감한 작지만 아주 멋진 공연이었습니다. 모듬북반의 영상에 가슴이 벅찼고, 빨강반 김시아, 김원, 박수빈의 “홀로 아리랑” 합창은 감동 깊었고, 무지개반의 공연은 참 예뻣고, 주황반의 “멋진 눈사람” 공연을 귀여웠습니다. 보라반의 조정의씨와 론다야씨의 잰말은 놀라웠고, 소고 공연은 멋졌습니다. 파랑반의 시낭송과 숫자 읽기는 즐거웠고, K-Pop반의 아리랑 댄스는 경이로웠고, 사물놀이 공연은 자랑스러웠습니다. 그날 공연을 보지 못한 델라웨어 한국학교 가족을 위해 사진을 준비했습니다. 보고 즐겨주세요.
On December 18th, we had our closing ceremony. It was a small but very nice event which opened with Mrs Clara Lin’s opening remarks and closed with Samulnori. We were excited by the video of the Korean Drum class and moved by the chorus of “Arirang Alone” by Kim Si-a, Kim Won, and Olivia Park. The Orange Class’s “Cool Snowman” performance was cute, Purple Class's tongue twisters and Sogo performance were amazing, and the Rainbow class's performance was so pretty. It was fun to listen to the poems and numbers of the Blue class. The Arirang dance of the K-Pop class was wonderful, and the Samulnori performance was fantastic. I prepared some photos for the Delaware Korean School family who couldn't see the performance that day. Please enjoy.
