Hi everyone

Well, it looks like change and uncertainty is still very much part of our lives and that means our message of hope over the last few weeks is one to really keep hold of. People have received hope through the carol services, the family services, Big Red Bags, the online services and through the thousands of small acts of kindness that you, the church, have carried out in your neighbourhoods, schools and friendships groups. Together we are hope carriers – let’s continue to spread hope wherever we are this Christmas.

Christmas and Watchnight

In light of rising cases we have decided to meet online only for Christmas Day and Watchnight.

The Christmas Day service will be available to watch at anytime during the day on the website.

The Watchnight service will be live on Zoom from 11.15pm, so still a great opportunity to pray in the New Year together, to worship, give thanks, hear a message from Steve and greet each other even if it is on screen. We are looking forward to seeing you and hundreds of others as we seek God for 2022.

In-person Services

We do plan to meet in person again from Sunday 2nd January as we want to continue to keep our doors open, to gather, worship and hear the Word together. Sundays will be our priority in this season and other activities may go online.

We will of course be reviewing what we can do as government guidance changes, so do check our website to get more details each week.

Steve’s latest blog post

“My dear brothers and sisters, we continue to walk through the most demanding of seasons. I sometimes find myself swinging from confident hope that the pandemic may soon be over (and it may) to the disappointment of realising we could be here for a while. To each of you I want to say: hold on to hope...” Read more

Week of Prayer

The week of prayer starts on Sunday 9th January and will run daily at 7-8pm online up to and including Saturday 15th. Do save the dates and plan to join us as many times as you can – prayer unites us and lines us up with God’s purposes.

Need prayer?

The church office will be closed from midday on Friday 24th and reopen on Monday 3rd January. You can call the pastoral phone number for urgent issues that affect you during this period – 07930 824958. One of the pastors will get back to you to support you.

If you have prayer requests or things that we can follow up in the new year, you can also email pastoral@kingschurchlondon.org.

And finally...

We pray you and your family have a good Christmas and New Year despite the challenges.

And again, Isaiah says, ‘The Root of Jesse will spring up, one who will arise to rule over the nations; in him the Gentiles will hope.’
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
– Romans 15:12-13

Many blessings
