This well illustrated talk will show how very advanced many aircraft designs were and the impact of political pressure and limitations of material supplies on the industry in the later years of the war.

Let's Walk Home
We are a group of like-minded walkers who love journeying through our beautiful countryside by foot.  Our walks vary between 7 and 12 miles and are open to all.

Next walk:  Saturday 8th January
Meet at Bishops Waltham Square where we shall catch the bus to Wickham. We will then walk back to Bishops Waltham, finishing off with a cup of coffee in the town centre.

Meon Valley Locomotive Society

The Society has resumed its regular monthly meetings.  We meet on the second Tuesday of each month at 7.30pm. We welcome all with an interest in railways, past and present.

Meon Valley Baby Bank
First Thursday of every month between 10-11:30.
The Stables, Maypole Green (just off Free Street), Bishops Waltham, SO32 1PW.

Our mission at the Baby Bank, while being led by the church, is to provide clothing and essential baby care items for babies and children up to the age of 4. Everyone is welcome regardless of circumstance, whether they are in need of any items or if they would simply like to exchange clothing.

Gateway Club
First & Third Monday - 7pm to 9pm

We are hoping to re-open the Gateway Club in January but we are in need of more helpers to support our  Members.  We aim to provide a Social Club for our Members who are all people with learning disabilities in our area. Our activities include arts and crafts, games, visiting entertainers and occasional outings.

The Wickham Pantry
Tuesdays 1pm-3pm and 6pm-8pm

The Wickham Pantry offers a “helping hand, not a
handout” to folk via a membership-based scheme, providing a
sustainable and long-term solution for the problem of food
poverty in the local area.  Membership is open to all and costs just £5.00 per visit to
access our food stock essentials. Only one visit per week is
permitted.
