Our Mayor’s monthly message

Fiona Blair announced as Chief Executive Officer

Ms Blair is a highly regarded leader in local and state government, with extensive experience as a senior executive.

In 2017 she was recognised for her leadership in the inaugural Top 50 Public Sector Women award.

Ms Blair will start in the role on 24 January 2022 replacing Interim CEO Warren Roberts.

Brimbank’s path to improved recycling revealed

Under the State Government’s Circular Economy Policy, all Victorian councils must introduce food and garden organics for all households by 2030. A separate glass recycling collection must also be introduced by 2027.

Council has endorsed the proposed new four-bin waste and recycling service model for community consultation in early 2022.

Brimbank Delights - The Lizard Lounge

Found on the banks of the Kororoit Creek. This patch of land was once cleared of vegetation and underutilised. But the Friends of Kororoit have set about changing all of that working to rehabilitate this patch of dirt into a thriving Lizard Lounge.

Customer Service
Our offices, customer service and call centres are closed on public holidays.

We're open business days between 8.45am and 5pm.

If you have an issue such as dumped rubbish, broken play equipment, graffiti (and more) you can report it online at www.brimbank.vic.gov.au/report-it

Waste services
Collection of garbage, recycling and green waste will run as usual on your regular collection day on the Christmas/Boxing/New Year's day public holidays.
