The bees have had a tough year due to some hive problems, and this year we have not extracted any honey from their stores (we only do this if we feel there is a healthy surplus). We are now entering winter with 4 active colonies, and we will feed them, if necessary, to help them through to spring.

Following the removal of all our diseased ash trees over the course of 2021, we have now planted more than 650 new trees into our regenerating woodland with a 95% success rate, thanks to the perfect growing conditions.

We are committed to planting a more diverse and resilient woodland for future generations. There are six cabins based in the area but spread out enough that you still feel secluded and at one with nature.
