New Year. New Challenges. New Opportunities?
It's a new beginning for all of us! The past couple of years were full of challenges for many of us. This year will probably throw some curveballs at us too. You conquered those challenges, you can do it again!
Resilence has been defined as "resistance, recovery, or rebound of mental and physical health after a challenge." Everyone affected by pancreatic cancer has a significant challenge they are facing. You've also had something hard you got through before this. What was it? Remembering times that you were resilient before can help you get through the challenges you are facing now.
It can also be good to turn challenges on their head a bit. Try asking yourself - "What opportunity does this bring?" While in some cases this is not an easy answer, just turning the idea over in your head brings a bit of the power back to you. There may be a small silver lining to even a terrible challenge that you can hold on to as a way to persevere.
The Scott Eli Jackson would like to recognize all of you for your resilience, community, and HOPE as we go through these challenging times together.
If you're new - welcome to the family. If you are not - welcome back.
