Volunteer request for WTT

Last week, we announced the new community event the SHSMA is planning for next summer. A group of people has already started work on this weeks ago, with Kim Thurgate coordinating the effort.

We are looking for more volunteers to join the planning committee. If you would like to help, please contact Kim Thurgate, our Event Coordinator at kim.thurgate@gmail.com. 

Here are some ways you can help:

• Take on small to larger tasks (make a call to help find a primary contact, become a Point of Contact for a segment).
• Help find contacts for Sunnyvale High Tech companies. (Does the company have a museum, or a Community Outreach department? Can you make contact for us?)
• Tell us your stories:  Did you work in the canneries, did you cut cots as a child or work in the orchards or on a farm? As a woman – did you or someone you know take on any jobs during WWII that were normally done by men (“Rosie the Riveter”)?
• Would you share your experience with a student so that they can portray ‘you’ or someone like you?
• Help us find sponsors for this event.
