2021: A Year Of Vice:

'Battle of Britain' was released in limited edition red and blue vinyl formats through Cargo distribution in December after a very long wait......the vinyl was ordered near the beginning of the year but faced several delays. We’re not sure if the delays were because of Brexit, Covid or the general state of the music industry but it was worth the wait as both records look amazing.

September saw the release of a second Motorhead tribute with the 'Road Crew' EP, featuring 4 tracks. ‘We Are The Road Crew' 'Damage Case and 'Motorhead' were given the acoustic treatment and 'Iron Fist' was recorded in the more typical Vice Squad noisy electric style.

Two videos 'Iron Fist' and 'Damage Case' were filmed by our talented tub thumper Ant with the help of the equally talented Graham Hilling at Brixton Hill Studios and released to accompany the EP. We continued the Western theme and re-donned cowboy hats and holsters and added some piano abuse to the mix. Rod Stewart was the sound sausage and his leg tattoo had a starring role at the end of the ‘Damage case’ video.

In May we released the 'Vice Of Spades' EP in tribute to Motorhead, taking 'Ace of Spades' 'Dancing On Your Grave' 'No Class' and 'Bomber' and giving them the acoustic treatment with a Country and Western twist and Honky Tonk piano.

Our tub thumper Ant filmed the accompanying videos ‘Ace of Spades’ and ‘Dancing On Your Grave’ at the Cavern venue in Raynes Park (thanks to the generosity and help of Noel Nevin, Gary, Georgia and Hagrid Hound) and we even learned a line dance routine, the results of which were shown on the Beki and Lumpy show live stream in May.

Thanks to Simon Legge, our Roadie-In-Chief for playing the bar tender and choreographing the Mariachi band shots and providing extremely silly moustaches!
