Important Notice
Please refrain from coming to church if you have symptoms of a cold. If you are double vaccinated, a new runny nose, sneezing or headache maybe symptoms of Covid and it’s a good idea to do a Lateral Flow Test, and repeat this if on the first day its not positive but you remain out of sorts. We want to look after each other and stop even the possibility of spreading germs! Thank you – and sorry to those who have to miss church.
The Parish Centre will be closed for Christmas from Friday 24th December until Wednesday 5th January. There will be no weekly mailchimp until January 6th 2022.
Please note that Carols in the pub on the 16th is now sadly cancelled.
Contrary to the information supplied in NEWT, the Carol Service is the only service we are requesting you to take a lateral flow test for before you attend.
Parish Carol Singing
Monday 20th December
5pm-6:30pm
Meet at the church at 5pm ready to spread some Christmas joy around the parish by singing well-loved carols. If there are a good number of us
then we will split into groups to cover different areas before meeting back at the church for refreshments and a final carol or two.
Church Lunch
A Big Thank you to all those who gave a donation for Christian Aid last week – we have raised £250 so far with a bit more promised. Many many thanks.
Church at Home services
livestreaming on Boxing Day
With Christmas Day falling on a Saturday this year, the diocese is providing two alternative services on Sunday 26 December for congregations to tune into. One will come to you from the Cathedral; the other will be parish worship.
A 9:30am Eucharist will be live streamed from St Paul's Wokingham
The 11am service from the Cathedral is a congregational Eucharist without a choir, but with organist and carols.
Both services are live and we'll add the stream links to the diocesan livestreaming webpage as soon as they are available.
Gift for the Kellings
Many thanks to all who responded so generously to the request to help our mission partners in Jordan. We raised £320 (including some Gift Aid) and to this has been added £250 from church funds, so total of £570 has been sent (via CMS) towards their expenses.
Please note that the deadline for notices to appear in the Thursday weekly MailChimp is 9am on Thursday morning, thank-you.
