Alex Johnston-Seymour
Marketing Officer

With his entrepreneurial and ambitious spirit, from busking tours and live-streaming before Covid, to performing at Leeds Fest and supporting Shelagh MacDonald and Jon Gomm, to designing a zero carbon tour, Alex has gained multi-faceted music business skills from experience on and off the stage over the past decade.

Original founder of alternative band The Tenmours (2013) at Leeds College of Music (now Leeds Conservatoire), Alex has continued to pursue his passion for composition and production, which now sees him returning there in 2021 to study a masters degree. Alex has deeply held climate concerns and has assisted in organising large-scale music events for environmental campaigning groups.

Dedicated to his artistic career, he has also had a significant presence on the Leeds busking scene, with his story being exhibited at Abbey House Museum in Kirkstall. Further to Alex’s interest in music education, he is a pupil of the world renowned Carnatic artist Jyotsna Srikanth, and has been teaching music for 7 years.

Alex’s flair for music business saw him become employed by Breathing Space HR as marketing assistant, where he was trained by the internationally respected experts Clare Morgan and Suzie Bogle.

He now brings his unique blend of music business and marketing skills to Strada as their marketing officer.


 

Liz Lenten
Agent & Administrator

Liz Lenten is one of our agents and the company administrator for Strada. She began working in the role in August 2021.

Liz has worked in various roles in the music industry for over 30 years. She has managed artists including Eliza Carthy (MBE), Shane MacGowan, Brian Nash (FGTH) and Galia Arad.

Her company, Scarlet Music, has provided artist administration and consultancy services for several artists including Moneypenny Music, Salsa Celtica, and many others.

Liz is also a musician & music teacher, and has been touring, writing, recording and performing since she was 16.  She teaches vocals, music theory and guitar;,  is a commissioned composer for choirs, large community events, BBC outreach and has conducted the London Mozart Players and Hull City of Culture 2017 New Music Biennial opening concert.

Since re-starting her band Auburn in 2012 has recorded 4 albums, in Nashville with Grammy Nominated producer Thomm Jutz to critical acclaim, gaining great reviews, extensive airplay worldwide, selling over 10000 units.  She tours regularly with her band ‘Auburn Acoustic’ and performed live at E Entertainments showcase in New Orleans.

Liz mentored for DTi ‘New Deal for Musicians’ and lectures in ‘music industry’ at UEL, Bishops Grosseteste University, Stamford College and Leeds School of Music and was Lincolnshire lead facilitator/area leader for the governments ‘Sing Up’ project.  She also delivers prescriptive music sessions for the NHS, for patients with mental health issues.

Daisy Gilham
Agent & Administrative Assistant 

Daisy started working with Scarlet Records as a young music leader at 14.   She has been involved in running many of the community events, planning, managing administrating and evaluating all aspects of the projects – from costumes to marketing.

After completing her A Levels, in Business Studies, Philosophy and Ethics she joined Scarlet Records full time as embroiderer and printer for Scarlet Print merchandising, managing the embroidery department totally herself.  She soon became invaluable in the company and now also works as full time PA to MD, working closely with Liz on all aspects of admin, Event and artist Management, live bookings, contracts, marketing, and product & project development.

Daisy created her own brand (Daisy Mae Stitches) of designs including the ‘vintage bespoke denim jackets’, which she designs, prints and hand embellishes to clients brief, as well as her own creations.

Daisy’s interest in all things ethical have prompted her to do a bachelors degree in Ethics and Philosophy which she starts part time, with Open University in October 2021.

She is very excited to be working with Strada – as she loves live music and spreadsheets.
