As we near the end of 2021, we are full of gratitude for how Kinship Plot has unfolded these past few months. We completed the start-up process, launched a website, led our first two cohorts, facilitated Advent liturgies to fuel contemplative action, and celebrated our first art commission, which you’ll be able to view soon on our YouTube channel. Enjoy a glimpse of our year at the bottom of this email.

There are many exciting things on the horizon for next year: a winter/spring cohort exploring our entangled existence with non-human kin, a visual art piece (with prints available) that will help us mark and move to time differently, more liturgies to root our contemplative action, and an expanded vision for kinship dinners, just to name a few.

Simply put, Kinship Plot is a community of learning and practice committed to reimagining and embodying mutual relationships in a world permeated by hierarchical and unjust ways of thinking and acting.

While we have big dreams, we are committed to building Kinship Plot at the speed of relationships and our reasonable, life-giving capacity as a team. Currently, all our monthly support has gone toward start-up costs and programming. But beginning in 2022, we are hoping to increase that support as we begin budgeting for board-approved personnel costs. Our first goal is to increase our monthly giving by $100/month before the end of the year. If you would consider contributing toward this goal, we would be so grateful!
