Time is Running Out - Complete Your Recertification
|
|
Does your recertification cycle expire at the end of this year? If you have not yet met the requirements for renewal, time is running out. Take care of renewal before the holidays and click here to verify your status and take the necessary steps to complete the recertification process. Avoid an inactive status by visiting your CEU center and submitting the required CEUs with your supporting documentation.
To take advantage of the member discount on recertification fees, you must purchase a membership before or on the recertification expiration date. Once the membership is paid, your recertification discount will be applied. As a reminder, the AHIMA membership dues and recertification fees are billed separately.
Recertification Checklist
- Obtain the required number of CEUs during your recertification cycle for each credential (at least 80% of required CEUs for each credential must be related to one of AHIMA’s specified HIIM domains).
- Participate in accepted and qualified CEU activities.
- Enter your CEUs on time.
- Keep all CEU certificates and activities documented for auditing purposes.
- Ensure your recertification fee is paid.
More information on recertification requirements can be found in this Recertification Guide and on AHIMA.org
