Free Learning Series “Little Kids, Big World” Featured at North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum

BISMARCK, N.D. – Toddlers and preschoolers are invited to the free interactive learning series “Little Kids, Big World” at the North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum. These interactive 30-minute programs introduce children to North Dakota’s fascinating history. All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
 
"Little Kids, Big World" classes are offered in a large public space with social distancing considerations. Each child is provided with their own supplies. The programs are Saturdays at 11 a.m. and 12 p.m., unless noted otherwise. Children and their parents or guardians are asked to meet at the east entrance information desk.
 
Jan. 8 "How Animals Stay Warm in Winter." Animals adapt to help keep themselves warm in winter. We'll do a fun activity to learn one way they do this.

Jan. 15 "Snowflakes." Did you know that every snowflake is different? Join us as we read a story about snowflakes and make our own.

Jan. 22 "Frozen Dinosaurs." 2 and 2:30. One place where dinosaurs have been found is in ice. We’ll search for dinosaurs frozen in ice and help free them.

Jan. 29 "Snowstorms!" 2:30 and 3. North Dakota gets a lot of snowstorms. Come explore as we make our own snowstorms in a jar.

"Little Kids, Big World" is led by Sarah Fox, who has teaching endorsements in STEM 1-8, middle school 5-8, and kindergarten, and has taught for more than 10 years.
