Sweet stories to move you this Christmas
By Emma Prestwich

Let’s face it — no one has space for negativity right now.

So on this day before Christmas, we want to share some of the moving essays from our December issue, as well as an encouraging message from United Church Moderator Richard Bott, in the hopes of boosting your spirits. These stories, including Stephanie Bai’s lovely essay about the magic of celebrating Christmas with her little brother, are certain to warm your heart during an emotional time.

You can find them below along with some of our year-end content.

On another note, I’ve so enjoyed writing to all of you each week through this newsletter. It’s been a chance to expand on current news and our latest stories, as well as a space for me to share what I’m thinking. My very capable colleague, assistant digital editor Chloe Tejada, will be taking it on in the new year. I’m so excited to see what she does with it.

Have a safe and peaceful holiday. Thanks, as always, for reading Broadview.
