Make your year-end gift to NAMI Eastside today! If the kettle is out of water, there is nothing you can pour to make tea until someone refills it. We are proud to be able to add a little bit of water to your kettle through our support groups, classes, and outreach to the community. Just like you, we cannot do this all on our own. Generous contributions of time and money from our amazing community make our work possible. Please consider helping us fill our kettle this season with a tax-deductible donation

You may be able to save on your tax bill with these write-offs:
  • CARES Act Deduction: Take your standard deduction and write off up to $600 more (married joint filers) on your federal taxes.
  • IRA Distribution: If you’re over 70.5 years old, you can give a tax-free gift from your IRA to reduce your future tax burden.
Check with your accountant to learn more about your tax write-offs.

NAMI Family-to-Family is a free, 8-session education program for family, friends and significant others of adults living with mental illness. The course is designed to help you understand and support your loved one while maintaining your own well-being. You will also find out that you're not alone. Recovery is a journey, and there is hope.

The group setting of NAMI Family-to-Family provides mutual support and shared positive impact. You will experience compassion and reinforcement from people who understand your situation. Learn from trained teachers who know what it is like to have a loved one living with mental illness. Thousands of families around the country describe the program as life-changing.

NAMI Eastside is hosting Family-to-Family Classes beginning on January 4th (full) and February 24th. The class will meet online on Tuesdays (Jan. start) or Thursday (Feb. start) from 6 - 8 PM. Register here

A big challenge for people, especially for those with significant employment gaps, is simply knowing how to begin the journey back to employment. This workshop defines a straightforward approach to finding work for those who have been out of the workforce for a time. It’s designed for people starting over from scratch and those who are unsure how to advance in their current careers. Participants will learn:

  • The ABC Employment Path model
  • The three different types of jobs
  • Resources to help you find work opportunities
  • The three skills that every employer is looking for
  • How to recognize all your skills, including the less obvious ones
  • Ways to improve the skills that employers value the most
  • Developing a path to grow in your career over the long term

The day will focus on the importance of mind, body and spirit in making one whole and healthy.

We will reflect on the power of self confidence in the healing process. Mental illness brings many lies and untruths to one experiencing it. It tries to keep its grips on one by constantly telling them "you are not good enough" or" you are inadequate."

Nothing could be farther from the truth! Come and unlock the healing truth. The truth that "you are enough."

The goal of the retreat will be to give you some uninterrupted quiet time to reflect on those lies/untruths that you are dealing with. Then, you will hopefully unlock the healing truth that will help set you free from those lies.

We invite you to do something special and treat yourself to a self-care Me day! It might be the best 2+ hours you have invested in a long time! Find out that you are not alone on this journey. There is strength in numbers! We hope to see you there!
