Holiday Solid Waste Update

According to the City’s Municipal Solid Waste Provider GFL, their teams are encountering more waste volume than normal during the Holiday Season. This results in trucks filling up sooner than normal and having to empty more often during the routes, which in turn is causing the landfills to have increased wait times and more traffic. Although, the GFL crews are working diligently to overcome these challenges, residents may see delayed service times and even carryover to next day in some instances during this time. To report missed pick up or to get more details on your Solid Waste Service, please call GFL’s customer service at 281.403.5800.

NOTE: Residents who participate in the Municipal Solid Waste and Recycling Program will receive regular service during the week of Christmas. To ensure pickup, citizens are encouraged to set garbage and recyclable materials out by 7 a.m.
