Greetings in Christ,
Friends,
I hope to see you this Sunday at 10 am at the Methodist Church for our Combined Choir Cantata! For those unable to join us there in person, you can join us on Zoom at 10 am in the same way as normal, or through the Methodist Church's Facebook page. We do not have a bulletin this week, but you can find a list of dedications for poinsettias and wreathes in and around the church here. After the Cantata, the Men's Group meet in the Fellowship Hall and Kitchen of our church for brunch.
We will be back in the Town Church for a Christmas Eve service at 7 pm on Friday, December 24 and again at 11 am on Sunday, December 26 for an informal Sunday service. We invite everyone to come comfortably dressed on the 26, even in your pajamas if that is comfortable for you.
Looking ahead into the new year, John Dan will preach for us again on January 2. We will begin a confirmation/new member class during Sunday School at the Town Church starting January 9. Our curriculum will be based on Being Presbyterian in the Bible Belt by Ted V. Foote, Jr. and P. Alex Thornberg. We will purchase books in advance, and may split into two groups, so please let me know if you are interested in the class by January 3 so I know how many books to order.
Grace and Peace,
Pastor Rob

Household Prayer: Morning
Thank you, good and gracious God, for the morning light, for another day in which to live out what it means that you have magnified my soul and the souls of those around me in this world. Teach me the meaning of “Let it be.” Show me how to trust; in Jesus’ name. Amen.
|
Household Prayer: Evening
Good and gracious God, we give you thanks that you have made incarnate in your world the breath of life, the life of hope. Keep us safe throughout the night that in the morning we may again rejoice and live in peace with all creation; in Jesus’ name. Amen.
