IN TIMES LIKE THESE: In All Things Be Thankful
The least or most unfavorable time for many of us to be thankful is when life becomes difficult and nothing seems to be going right. Then, the will to demonstrate gratitude is weakened, and the spirit of thanksgiving can lose visibility within the fog of despair. In these moments, we can quickly start to complain and worry about our troubles instead of finding the courage to be thankful in all things. In this year of worldwide sickness and death, many of us suffered great pain, illness, loss, and discouragement, and it has been challenging to rise above the ominous storm clouds of depression. BE ENCOURAGED! Because no matter how turbulent the storm of life is now, you must never forget behind every dark cloud lies a silver lining.

IN TIMES LIKE THESE: Anchor your life in something other than the treasures and material things of the earth. Build your hope on a foundation that is strong enough to stand during life’s storms and in the face of the world’s chaos. Be very careful that your faith is not rooted in the myths, fairy tales, and fears of those who speak falsely through the airwaves of deception. During this season of thanksgiving and celebration, look up and live. Despite how hard it may be, how you feel, or the struggles you may have, in all things, give thanks. The reality of life is that no matter how bad it is, there is always someone worse off than you are, so give thanks with a grateful heart in all circumstances.
